AlienTech,
I hesitate to use on the book stops because so many times I have had my stops hit, by what appears to me, plain and simple stop busting by the MM on Nasdaq and SP on the NYSE. For a while I thought it was just me, bad luck, etc. Then one day I had a stop hit at 49 1/2 on a measly 200 shares of HSY when the lowest sales for the rest of the day were 50. I have a chart somewhere which shows the buggers coming down and hitting my stop on one tick(!) and then the rest of the day it is back to 50, 50 1/8, 50 3/16 and on up. Also, HSY, not a very volatile stock, was much less volatile then 18 months or so ago, than now. So what is one to do? Mental stops I suppose and then whenever I show a substantial loss there is nothing to blame but my own (occasional) lack of discipline.
