David, I used to have an account with Fido. I went through the same "bovine manure" that you did. I'm concerned about Datek and their lack of responsiveness. BUT, they are head an shoulders above Fido. When they are good, they are GREAT! When not, well that's another story. Actually, since I'm a relatively new daytrader, I think some of my problems have to do with my lack of understanding of how the orders are processed. I.e., when the MoMos get them (SNET'd from Datek) they take forever to cancel. I'm looking at two other brokers - DeltaTrader (www.deltatrader.com) and CyberCorp (www.CyberCorp.com). Both are working with Quote.com to interface to QCharts (great product). I'll probably make a decision within the next two weeks. Regards, Dan.
