MCI, US West Test High Speed ADSL Internet Access

Telecommunications companies are exploring high-speed Internet access for bandwidth-hungry consumers and corporations, using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line(ADSL) and High-data-rate Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL) technology. At NetWorld+Interop, in Las Vegas, US West Inc.'s !nterprise division announced a technical and market beta test for ADSL and HDSL in Boulder, Colo., to begin in the second half of this year. The company said alpha trials in Minneapolis, Boulder, and Denver had been completed.
