this was Enter a Sell, check Daily Activity, and see two orders - a Sell and a Short, entered the exact same second.

Scott, this happened to me once. I entered a buy limit order and found two orders exactly the same at the same second. I use my own java app to enter orders and it logs order entry to a file. There was only one entry in my log file. The orders at my limit price were unmarketable so I was able to cancel without problem but the duplication did bother me. This had never happened before and hasn't happened since. I would guess that Datek has some subtle timing problem that manifests infrequently.
