Awarded $1.6 Million Order for Satellite Modems for an Asia-Pacific Cellular Operator finance.yahoo.com MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., was awarded a $1.6 million order for satellite modems and redundancy switches. A large operator in the Asia-Pacific region will use the equipment to upgrade their existing satellite-based cellular backhaul infrastructure to increase their available bandwidth.
