[Amati & the Future]

Jim,

<<Fill your portfolio with CAP, AWRE, PAIR, WSTL, USRX, I don't care. This is the Amati Investors Thread. There is ample information here, more than you'll find on most stocks.I am not about to state my justifications for why I discuss Amati and it's potential, each time I post.>>

I appreciate your "coaching" and excellent posts over the year. First,
let me share my position: I've been long Amati (with some trading on rises/dips)for a year and am quite excited about the future of ADSL.

Now, the intent of my post is NOT for you or others to justify your
position, but rather top keep an eye on an industry with many ADSL
players. I would like for the board to continue to use the Ronald Reagan "star wars defense analogy"..that "we should trust but verify" what we hear and what is printed.

Having said that... I have a few Alcatel questions (for anyone)?
----------------------------------------------------------------
* With the JPC victory of Alcatel and Amati's involvement...can we conclude an Amati victory?
*If this is true, why is IBM working with
Ameritech and Bell South on ADSL trials or platform development?
*I read an early post specify a quantity of ADSL modems that Alcatel
would ship...over what time period.
*Is this contract exclusive?
*Has anyone read a joint Alcatel/Amati announcement?
*Is Alcatel working with other ADSL companies (I believe Orkit was mentioned)?

I appreciate the research, snooping and hard work of all.

Bob
