I think you misread him. He was talking to the people who want to condemn Bush and Blair for the bombings

I read him fine. I think he's being a hypocrite. "Wait until the victim's bodies are cold before you start blaming Bush and Blair", but he doesn't have a problem with decorum when he tears into a public figure with the body still warm. It's just as unseemly, IMO.
