Re: Laurie Mylroie. Look, she's essentially saying the US government completely blew the investigation of the Oklahoma City bombing, but she knows the truth, and nobody will believe her.

She could be right, but the world is full of very intelligent people who have pet theories about what "really happened" about the Kennedy assassination or the Lincoln assassination or the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the Archduke.

"History" as an agreed construct is brutal, it has a way of moving on. We see it here. When people come back a hundred years later to read the history of the Iraq war, what will they read? What will they believe?

The best historians don't go to newspapers for facts, they go to archives. Laurie Mylroie doesn't have access to those archives any more than I do. She's really an investigative journalist, writing a current events story based on hearsay.
