Maybe. . . But this Fed has made some unprecedented moves. If the Fed is going to start taking investment banks' crappy collateral, which it's never done, and it is doing so with questionable legal authority, what's to stop it from raising interest rates before an election when there is clearly no law preventing them from doing so? On the other hand, they'd have to change their position that inflation is going to abate in the second half of the year before they start raising interest rates. I wonder at what point, and based on what information, they'll decide inflation isn't abating?
