Why do people on this thread keep responding to this noise that tero keeps spitting out. The major GSM handset makers have stated that CDMA
will be the next standard through ETSI. There is no dispute therfore what is the superior system. Why would erickson and Nokia go with w-CDMA if GSM was so great. So Tero give it a rest. The only dispute now is to what degree IPR's of Qcom will be used. It is obvious that Erickson did not invent CDMA since they publicly claimed it did not work. In any event CDMA is the Future and Qcom is CDMA. As for marketing of nokia, I agree that they are quite good, as is General Motors. Taking old cars and dressing them up only works for so long. Eventually people would rather have the better, more reliable, more effient then the aqua Blue cavalier. As for the quality debate, I still say that in analog and GSM Mot still has the best horse in town.
Considering that GSM is a European standard it seems sad that Motorolla as pathetic a company as it has become still makes phones ion's better then any European manufacturer. Furthermore I ve owned a Nokia and an erickson they were both chevys compared to Mot elite. I returned the Nokia after 1 day and layed out the 700 for my Mot.
