You must work for Bill. All I can say is BULL. The major MS apps are chock full 'o bugs. Perhaps you never use them to do anything other than write your Aunt or figure your checkbook. If you use the more sophisticated, so-called time-saving features you will encounter the bugs. I'd love to see DOJ do a number on MS just to get back at them for their lack of quality control. The memory management of the apps alone is reason enough.

Oh that OS's were really open and there were true competition in the applications. MS has seen to it that there is not. All they know how to do is add idiotic features and lock competition out of the market. I could do as much with the Word and Excel for the Mac in the late 80's.
