[Chips & Dip] Jim,.....

>>Some here know where the real revenues are made, in the CO Equipment. >>

Hey, now that post is close to my language skills.

You know I've just made an important discovery that you more than likely know but I'd bet many here do not.

If you click on the little number next to the persons name you go back to the post that's being responded to. Did you know this? Awwwww nevermind. I don't even know why I asked. I know you know. You know?.

The MOT Copper Gold chip has been a question for me as well. Because it is a single chip instead of a chip set. I've heard the advantages of the chipset is quick upgrades vs the lower cost advantage of the single chip solution.

But the Allegro is the important unit. The DSLAM will be the Big money maker and the first to make an impact.

From my understanding the TXN DSP chip is out now and the programing stations are for sale today along with it. The next step is production quantities and a price drop.

TXN has an agreement with a programing company announced recently that is working on programming too. If I remember correctly the chip has so many possible uses that it's going to be a major powerhouse DSP and require a lot of line code. Amati should benefit from the line code they provide.

Amati should get some additional revenue there. I'm thinking that every chip out the door will contain Amati ADSL / XDSL line code.

We did get the recognition from TXN.

Thank You Texas Instruments !!!...... for remembering to mention Amati.

We owe you the Amati Special Acknowledgement Award. !!!

Ray
