Dr. Evil: I've done the same thing, but in reverse! I had PRK done last year on a BEAM machine with spectacular results. (I opted for PRK because my myopia was mild to moderate and I perceived it as slightly safer at the time.) After the great result, I decided to buy BEAM (also well under 10), and I have profits that would have paid for several surgeries. This is now my favorite industry!

BTW I also used an FDA investigator (on the original PRK, I'm not sure about LASIK) who is terrific. He is in the Washington, D.C. area. If anyone wants the name, send me a PM.
