LPLHA - I may have been early. I can add if it goes down more though - and that could make it a better investment - if we see it run up again in the next 3-6 months.
I'll be patient and wait to see what happens.
Saw this news release from early July - pretty interesting stuff:
WEDNESDAY, JULY 06, 2005 11:42 AM - PR Newswire
LPLHA 0.09 -0.007 BEVERLY, Mass., July 6, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- LocatePLUS Holdings Corp. (LPLHA) (LPLHB) (LPLHW) , an industry-leading provider of business-to-business and business-to-government investigative solutions, today issued a performance update to its shareholders.
Dear Shareholder:
As CEO of your Company, I am pleased to present you with the following update, containing our latest business developments over the past month. We continue to execute on our business and growth strategies to enhance shareholder value.
Strategic Partnerships
Our wholly owned subsidiary Certifion is closing in on new strategic alliances that will expand the market for its services and enhance its existing products. Recently, its brand Entersect Police Online was selected as one of several investigative tools used to train law enforcement officers at the Michigan State University Identity Theft Crime and Research Lab in East Lansing, Michigan. In addition, Certifion is pursuing a partnership to expand its patent-pending CareerScreen(TM) resume validation tool to include a cutting-edge personality profile. Certifion President Geoff Lee believes the new module acts as the "Myers-Brigg's personality test for the 21st century workplace." Through proprietary matching and relationship analysis, job candidates can identity those professions that they are best suited for based on their personality, and pass this information onto potential employers. With this new edge on the highly competitive job market, Entersect expects the module to enhance consumer sales of CareerScreen, which is currently marketed to millions of job seekers through its online channel partners worldwide.
Since LocatePLUS took the lead in a $50,000 state-funded pilot project with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to help track down roughly 4,700 sex offenders using our investigative database, we are helping other states in the nation to find sex offenders. Based on the success of preliminary searches performed on behalf of state departments outside of Massachusetts, we look to implement a similar program to other states in the near future.
U.S. Government Procurement
Certifion has applied for authorization to sell to U.S. federal government agencies under the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule. The GSA schedule, a key federal government procurement vehicle, would enable Entersect to more efficiently compete for larger contracts and increase product marketing to a wide variety of U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Defense.
Technology Enhancements
We have recently launched the Common Residence Finder as a pay-per-click option to our exclusive law enforcement platform LPPolice.com, in addition to our online access at LocatePLUS.com. Since launching this searching tool in April, our customers have reported the Common Residence Finder has been very helpful in tracking down fugitives, where the suspects often skip from one residence to the next throughout the country.
Conference Participation
LocatePLUS attended the 19th Annual Police Security Expo 2005 Police Chiefs in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 21 and 22nd. The convention allowed us to be among the nation's largest showcase of goods, products, and services designed for all law enforcement, security, government, safety and homeland security professionals. Over 7,500 industry professionals were in attendance, including key decision makers in federal and state agencies, police chiefs and many others.
I am honored once again to present at the 15th Annual National Association of Fugitive Investigators (NAFI) Training Conference on August 21 - 24, 2005 in Orlando, Florida. NAFI is a national, non-profit organization with more than 800 members from all 50 states. In addition to NAFI, LocatePLUS will participate in several upcoming tradeshows to increase our exposure both domestically and internationally. A complete list of upcoming conferences can be found at locateplus.com.
We appreciate your continued support and interest in our rapidly evolving business. In our ongoing effort to keep our shareholders informed, we look forward to communicating regular performance updates to you in the future.
Sincerely,
JON LATORELLA CEO LocatePLUS Holdings Corp.
