Lagardere Sells Selsius to Cisco for $145 Million news.com Lagardere is focusing its telecommunications operations on switches and mobile radio networks. It closed a mobile- phone plant earlier this year after selling its research and development center to Nokia Oyj of Finland. Most of its telecommunications business is now integrated in Matra Nortel Communications, a 50-50 joint venture with Northern Telecom Ltd. of Canada. Selsius Systems, founded last year, manufactures equipment that allows voice to be carried over data networks using Internet technologies. It launched its first products this year and has ''marginal'' sales, Lagardere said.
