Can you assess the relevance of this:

(UPI Spotlight)

WASHINGTON, March 10 (UPI) _ A new surgical technique may help thousands avoid major back surgery. A radiologist at the University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston says (Monday) instead of spinal fusion, doctors can remove infected spinal disks through a pencil-wide channel bored into the backbone. Dr.
Wayne Crow says of 25 patients treated with the procedure, 23 find their pain relieved so well spinal fusion surgery isn't needed. He presented his findings at a
meeting in Washington of interventional radiologists who perform minimal surgery.

Regards,

Steve
