Well spake. But I must confess that I have actually never been to Ulan (mince pie data strictly second hand). I have been to Hohhot, which I remember as being a fine place to leave. I think I prefer Positano if given the choice. Positano, Hohhot...Positano, Hohhot... Perhaps the problem centered upon the fermented yak milk you obliquely referred to. Local yak-oenophiles commented that unfortunately there had been a spate of bad years, with recent brews lacking some of the rosy overtones and apple bouquets of some legendary vintages of yore.
