Dennis Miller on Politics
Polipundit
I was in Las Vegas over the weekend. And I caught Dennis Miller at the MGM Grand.

He’s a gem. I mean, truly hilarious.

About 2/3 of his act was not political. But he did spend quite a bit of time on various political issues of the day, including a side-splitting bit about global warming and enviro-lunatics.

Dennis had a couple of serious moments too. And the one that stood out was his pitch about the global war against Islamo-fascist terrorism. The harsh reality is that there is no “al-Qaeda-istan,” as Dennis pointed out. And we do need to crush those vermin, notwithstanding those shrill objections of our millionaire socialist brethren in Beverly Hills, Mill Valley, and East Hampton.

Incidentally, there was not a single catcall, jeer or other sign of objection to Dennis’ various pro-Bush, pro-American political rants. To the contrary, they elicited nothing but hearty cheers and applause. And this was a crowd of at least 1,500 people, from all walks of life.

Yes, Sullivan-Buchanan-Media-Krugman, there’s a whole other country out there between the Hudson River and the San Gabriels, and outside of college and university campuses, and beyond those country club walls. So, open your eyes. And join the reality party.

Ignorance might be bliss. But getting your head blown off sure ain’t utopia.
