You may be right but I really suspect that LSI is unloved because they have not exactly lit up the dance floor with their business performance of the last 2 years - in terms of revenue and earnings growth (and hence in share price growth as well - one of the few that did not even come close to the 1995 over-zealous high - perhaps a good example of how a stock can go from serious lust in 1994/5 to serious "throw the bitch out" in 1996 and esp. 1997).

For a company that has a hand in many of the world's most sophisticated "toys" (double entendre...) many expected better performance over the last 2 years.

But that's all in the past...

Everyone tends to be thinking s/t and could be seeing the high R&D spending as a bad n/t thing and ignoring the benefits of such high expenses l/t. At least that's the way I see it.
