Dow Jones Business News Microsoft And VeriSign In Pact Tuesday June 3, 11:15 am ET DALLAS -(Dow Jones)- Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - News) and VeriSign Inc. (NasdaqNM:VRSN - News) will jointly develop security software for enterprise customers. In a press release Tuesday, the software firms said their next-generation software will enable companies to implement secure communications and identity management software across a variety of networks and software platforms. Specifically, they said the new software will improve access security for remote connections and wireless networks. The new public key infrastructure platform will be built on Microsoft Server 2003 and the VeriSign Managed PKI Services and is expected to be available in late 2003.
