Do not attempt to apply max pain to thinly held POS stocks like INVN BRCD ELX NTAP AKMN and an other such nonsense.

Max Pain works when option volume is significant.
The big POS not the little ones.

Max pain MSFT 47.50 (closed 47.48)
INTC Max Pain 15 (closed 14.90)
CSCO Max Pain 12.5 close 12+ or whatever.

BTW I never count on the close but figure most major stocks hit max pain SOMETIME during expiry week.

If you want to talk manipulation look at 11K dow puts at 8000. Hmmn we rallied above and held.

How about JPM with 20K puts at strike 20.
Close at 20.18.

This one is my favorite!
Huge block of strike 15 CALLs on AMZN.
Stock above 17 all week.
Downgraded this afternoon and plunge like a rock from 17.5 to under 16.

I picked up a few puts on that.
Should have bought 100.

Anyone who does not think this whole stinking mess is crooked as hell is nuts.
