(REUTERS) NY precious metals end higher, recovering losses NY precious metals end higher, recovering losses NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuter) - COMEX and NYMEX precious metals futures ended higher across the board Thursday, with gold bouncing back from Wednesday's weakness, and even platinum found some support with no sign yet of Russian supplies resuming. "Gold again ran out of sellers around $340, despite yesterday's big jump in open interest, so we saw some good shortcovering near the close," Credit Lyonnais Rouse's, chief bullion dealer in New York, Scott Mehlman, said. "With the OTC options expiry about a week away, I don't think gold will stray too far from the $340 strike price."
