You may have missed the news of my most recent cancer diagnosis, which I got in August. So I'm a triple winner now. ;-)

In fact, I am on SS disability, but I will not qualify for Medicare unless I remain unable to work until September of 2010.

I agree with you that when I'm able to work, I should be able to do so without affecting Medicare eligibility. Or rather, whether I "should" be eligible for Medicare or not, it would be tremendously helpful to me, and might make the difference between declaring bankruptcy or not.
