Windows Explorer \| View \| Options \| File Types allows you to change what file extensions are related to what programs. But I doubt this will solve the problem you are having as this will only affect what program is loaded if you double click on the file. Sounds like your Metastock conversion program is not working correctly. I've said it before, someday someone is going to create a data format designed to be used and everyone is going to standardize on it! Sometimes we are just stupid we keep using 8086 standards in computers and 255 metastock file formats in stock data. Harold
