BancBoston Robertson Stephens Reiterates Buy
Rating, Raises Estimates on ALOY

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1999--BancBoston Robertson
Stephens senior eTailing and specialty retailing analyst Lauren Cooks Levitan today reiterated her Buy rating and raised
estimates on Alloy Online, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALOY - news), after the company reported better-than-expected second quarter
fiscal 1999 results.

Alloy Online is an emerging leading eTailer of apparel, accessories and other products specifically targeted at Generation Y
(ages 10-24).

``We are reiterating our Buy rating on Alloy after the company announced second quarter fiscal 1999 revenues of $3.8 million,
well above our estimate of $2.9 million.' said Levitan. ``Earnings-per-share loss of $(0.23) also beat our estimated loss of
$(0.24), given solid gross margin of 50.2 percent.'

``We are raising our third quarter fiscal 1999 earnings-per-share estimates based on better-than-expected user traffic and

stock catalysts, but we also look for near-term announcements concerning new sponsorship partners to drive stock price
appreciation.'
