Excellent piece: Thanks for sharing it-New tax laws are also in place that have had a big impact on merger activity. Not sure exactly the year, but it was in regards to capturing and using the tax loss carry forwards of a target company. In the past before the change, it was used quit often. Mainly to shelter earnings. Due to the strict rules now. I can't think of one since the tax law change,for that reason. RR
