Dennis--Where did you read 4600? In my opinion, this is far fetched and exaggerated. Like you said, 401k particiaption is high, people are investing in stocks because they know damn well they can't retire investing in T-bills, and social security isn't going to last too much longer (I'm not counting on it.) The only way to retire is invest in good, quality stocks for the longterm (although I'm not adverse to some trading now and then!!) If we hit 4600, I'll have to take out a 2nd mortgage and go shopping.
The analyst I use was very positive on CSCO Friday, I think we'll be in good shape.
Now if CPQ would just come down a little tomorrow......
