Murphy continues to show how oblivious he is to reality:
After the CPQ announcement on Friday, I tried to get the hotline. I'm still a subscriber, so might as well hear what he has to say, right?
No update ready yet. OK, makes sense, he would take a bit of time to digest the CPQ news and have something to say.
Went away for the weekend and finally dialed in this morning. And there's his discussion "after the close", talking about how great this week is going to be due to upcoming earnings surprises that he is expecting from INTC and others. No mention of CPQ. Zip. Nada.
Not sure what planet he's on, but the news had made his commentary obsolete -- or at least seriously subject to question -- BEFORE HE EVEN POSTED IT.
What's the point of a "hotline" from a guy who doesn't even check the news before putting it out there.
If Murphy were a stock, he'd be one of my favorite kinds of companies: The kind that has no substance, no real itellectual capital, no liklihood of bringing anything to market anytime soon, and the amazing PR skill to somehow sell increasing number of people on buying their stock. (Look at GARD, for example.) I LOVE companies like that. Short them whenever I can.
