Correction: VNL is 1999 option root for intel.
In general, W's are 1998 and V's are 1999 as in following
from part of table downloaded from (non web) dow jones news service:

ROOT SYMBOLS FOR LONG-TERM EQUITY OPTIONS (A-L)
1997 1998 1999
ISSUE Exchange LEAP/OPTION LEAP LEAP
TRADED ID Symbol Symbol Symbol
OLD NEW
Abbott Laboratories X ZBT ABT WBT VBT
.......(more entries).......
Intel Corp. A ZNL INQ WNL VNL

------------
Site I have used for leaps (and other options) is
webservices.pcquote.com

put in intc in stock ticker and submit. on next page go to bottom
and click on the 'all option for underlying'. Shows all tickers,
bid/ask, change and open interest. I am not sure if the site
shows other than CBOE options, so check it out.

The above site also has a lot of descriptive information on leaps
and may have a symbol lookup, but this is the short cut i
use giving trading info.

IMHO, when buying options, don't put in more than you are willing
to lose.

Good trading.
