Hi Jon, Big Article in the Houston Chronicle on The Eagle Ford Shale Formation which runs for 400 miles in Texas. There is a bit of a job boom in the area, Dimmit county Texas, deemed by the US census to be the 19th poorest counties in the US! is in the middle of the prospective boom area.

Lots of talk regarding whether or not Hydraulic Fracturing or Fracking which is used in many of these shale projects can disrupt the watertables, underground acquifiers and cause other environmental damage. I don't know if all the data is in.
