I agree...and at this point, I don't really think that there is much that can be done about the current economic situation other than to let time heal the wounds. I want the good ole days back when we would get CSCO going up 10pts a day. But I think that it will be fatal to my net worth to assume that this can happen before the excesses of the past few years have been cleared out.

As painful as this is, it is necessary and healthy for the market to correct. Kinda like forest fires. We need to clear the brush and dead wood and help to make a healthy soil for the next batch of trees. And heck, some coniferous trees need the heat from a forest fire for the seeds to be released from the cones. If I really wanted to, I could come up with a more eloquent way to state the Market/Forest Fire analogy, but I assume that you know what I mean.
