WOW reads metastock files directly. importing or merging provides you with the grouping cability which you don't get with direct read. Even in this day of big hard drives, we need to watch how many times we duplicate files by conversion. Your data vendor is the key. While you want all stocks available. you want the ability to scan or filter down your directories to the few you want to put your time on. While Quotes Plus has all listed stocks, you can pre-scan based on multitudes of filters which then can be outputted to one directory.
