Richard: I ran into one of those "trick signs" in Canada about ten years ago.

The sign Clearly said "speed limit 100". I thought "hey what a great country!" I was cruising along, passing a lot of people , but only doing about 95-100. Then, I got nailed by 3 squad cars.

I NOW know that "speed limit 100" really means "speed limit 60mph".
It cost me @$350.00 Canadian dollars to learn that.

Ever since that day, I have not been fond of the metric system.<g>

Thanks for the information. I'll bet that highway makes for a very
nice drive to see some of the natural beauty of China.
