For all his magnetism and the idealism he fostered, JFK had some very human and very dangerous flaws. I suspect they would have come home to roost had he lived.

Which has about as much substance as the argument that Kennedy would have gotten us out of Vietnam. Who knows. None of us.

As for the qualifiers "very human" and "very dangerous flaws", that's a mark of every president since. And, possibly, before.
