Mr. Peter DeLancey reports
Atna Resources and Energold Mining Ltd. recently completed a deep penetration
TEM geophysical survey at the San Antonio I concession, Dominican Republic.
The survey, which was carried out over most of the property, has outlined several
conductors, coincident with favourable geology and surface geochemical
anomalies. Some of the conductors are in areas of high-grade drill intersections
and may represent extensions to this mineralization along strike and down dip. A
drill program is planned for early next year to test priority geophysical targets.
Initial drilling will be in the Copper zone area where volcanogenic
massive-sulphide-type mineralization has been intersected in five drill holes over a
400-metre strike length and up to 120 metres down dip.
Atna can earn a 60-per-cent interest in the San Antonio I concession from
Energold Mining Ltd. by completing $3-million (U.S.) in exploration and paying
Energold $300,000 (U.S.) in shares over a four-year period. Atna has completed
the second option payment by issuing the equivalent of $40,000 (U.S.) in Atna
shares.
