FYI in recent Fortune (1997, Nov. 24 issue, p329), there is an article talking about "buy-and-hold strategy" and the difference between what fund managers are preaching and what they are really doing. Even Peter Lynch's Magellan Fund during 80's had a turnover ratio over 100%, which means they buy and sell at least once in a year for the overall portfolio. Holding? for one year, what a surprise! good investing. PL
