"Evil" is as evil does But "Evil" does because Evil thinks. No one, except maybe the most utterly depraved amongst us, does evil for evil's sake. They have some mental driving volition they wrongly believe is The Good. I don't believe in Original Sin. I believe humans seek the good by nature, and intuitively accept what is logically true. The problem of Evil is at root one of bad reasoning, IMHO. The jihadis have a religious conception of the world which provides their premises. They believe pursuing certain bad or irrational conclusions is actually good, and so they act on those bad conclusions. Destructively. Central to their belief system is the evil of the material world and the abdication of the self. It is a death cult, of the self and for others - the ultimate proof of its falsity. Derek
