Yes, I was confused re. which side claimed they wanted a manual recount. I still maintain that whatever either side says/does/spins in this mess, is being done with the singular purpose of winning - that's all. Both sides can and will espouse altruism or whatever they (or their advisors) feel it will take to win. Truths, half-truths, errors, and omissions are simply part of the game, IMHO.

Perhaps you feel that I consider politics to be too Machiavellian~
