I know of an instance in our local district where a senior special ed teacher used her position of seniority to assign a less senior level employee to carry her daily work load while she lobbied legislators and arranged meetings with state representatives (think Patty Murray) from the telephone in here office off of the classroom. When the employee complained to the administration, she was transfered to a different school and replaced with someone that was more docile and not prone to interfere.

It is teachers like this that give them all a bad rep, and make a mockery of the seniority system as this teacher obviously had been given the green light and was immune to scrutiny.
