Scumbria Re..Aren't the interests of the voters to be considered? The candidates are a reflection of the 50 million voters who supported them. It would be irresponsible not to fight to the bitter end.<<<<<<<

Ted I hope you read this. This type of fanaticism is dangerous. This type of stuff is what Jessie is talking about. How many lawyers is it going to take , how many yrs can we wait, how many people must die in a civil war before we realize the end's don't justify the means. The ballot will likely never be resolved to either sides satisfaction, because the margin of error in any style of vote counting is greater than the difference in the vote count; and no legal decision can make it otherwise. No matter how right you think you are; sometimes the best choice is to walk away.

Its not at all dangerous.....going after the truth never hurt anyone. Its when truth is denied that people get hurt.

And this process will end......there will be a level reached when most will know its done and it will be done.

And you can only walk away from the truth when you are the only one effected. I don't think Gore likes being in this position....he was willing to concede when he thought he had lost. And there is no way he will come out on top in this situation even he becomes President. People will seem him and not Nader as the spoiler.

Unfortunately, someone has to take a stand on this issue and its better now than later. Because I believe it will have to be done sometime. Besides, if we don't resolve this matter sufficiently and satisfactorily now, then I believe this country will deal with it again. But the stakes the next time will be even higher....at least that's the way it seems these things work.

Besides we have plenty of time....the job doesn't start until sometime in January.....I think wrapping this up before Xmas would be good. <g>
