Clearly, if a nuclear device is exploded anywhere in the US, there will be great pressure to use nuclear devices in return. This is certainly true for Israel too, though it's not clear where the Israeli's would deliver such a device? The US may at that point consider using tactical nuclear weapons such as neutron bombs if there is found to be a concentration of Taliban soldiers anywhere that can be easily wiped out.
