Frank Luntz, AI, Trump and Palin are compelling evidence that "views" and logic don't matter. Voter and consumer decisions are based on value-laden wording which has no view or logic. Income and wealth inequality now and in the late 1920s and early 1930s are identical - and the real solutions remain the same. But this earlier period of time also revealed that the major political decisions taken in each nation were not driven by logic or rationality. Whether Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, FDR, Churchill . . . working solutions were amplified and non-solutions were abandoned. But this trial and error discovery process failed when it was overridden by "views" and ideologies because these are not predictive.
