The interesting aspect is that <if> a genetic marker is found for homosexuality, will parents view it as a defect and abort? An early "cure" might well be detection & abortion, which oddly enough would not be acceptable to the group comprising the most likely customers. I think that hormonal treatment during pregnancy might be the eventual solution, which would be much less objectionable, hence widely used. The evidence so far seems to indicate that it is a developmental issue, which means it is not strictly the individuals genes, but might involve the hormonal environment in the womb. Experimentation along those lines is currently going on with sheep IIRC.
