Clinton, Looks like YOU are right (I think.... what is the prediction???): "Does it matter? There is probably an interaction effect. The point would be that we were down yesterday, the international markets seem to be tanking, we are going into expiration week where many people bought calls on the assumption of the January effect, and there you have it. This is all short term of course, but I am still scratching my head about the prediction of such a strong upturn today, which was tomorrow yesterday. I will get down and kiss the earth in thanks if I am wrong. "
