BB,

Posting to most recent messages as response time is running over a minute on the Web now!

It makes perfect sense to me, BB, that when VIX enjoys a strong move up, that is a signal the market will reverse and move higher soon. The problem is twofold:

- hiitting the exact point to buy in extremely volatile markets is like trying to catch a razor blade between a finger and thumb... you CAN do it but you get bloodied most of the time or miss it completely!

- in a true crash scenario, you may be buying when you should wait...

So far, neither of those occasions has occurred although today is close to both! Again, being a buyer today would PROBABLY pay off if you could buy the low... whatever THAT is.
