And in most cases, you do have the option of selecting a lower resolution version of content. That option is offered by the content provider. It's not an Apple-specific problem, is my point. It's just a manifestation if two facts. One is that radio frequency bandwidth is not unlimited, and the second is that data carriers expect to make money when they provide their services.
