I looked. And held my breath. ;-) That it was a pdf file worried me more than a little. And it came up as a 28 page file, all in abstruse, abstract, look at my complicated language and admire me, social science writing style. Hate that stuff.

The chart on page 14 was very interesting. In general, for presidents, if I read it correctly, it's down hill after election day, at least in terms of popular approval. With two fascinating exceptions: Reagan, slightly uptrending; and Clinton, sharply uptrending. And, not with the exception of Bush, the father. That famous huge uptrend around the Gulf War, which then is followed by the dropping of the cliff we all know about.

I'm resisting the curiosity cat, the one that suggests I read the manuscript to see why they think it's so.
