I do not think too little time has passed to make the gender role modification- we've already made much greater changes and survived- nor do I think archetypes will make it impossible to have gender role transformation. For all our evolutionary determination, we remain a very "plastic" species- and I think we can adapt to just about anything. Is it possible we can't? Well sure. We might not be "fit" enough to survive the transformation of our civilizations. We may destroy ourselves. In the abstract that doesn't bother me very much. Most species eventually die out- I imagine man will be the same. I'm not worried about it happening tomorrow. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen tomorrow, if Mr. Bush decides to blow up the planet it certainly could happen tomorrow, but the odds of that happening are small.
