Absolutely right! America is a place where, if the cream wants to rise to the top, it can. We don't all become vice presidents at Babcock and Wilcox, but, by God, if we wanted to, we could.

I have studied family history as a hobby for over 25 years...a very rewarding search, and have included as many of the women's lines as possible. The men of years gone by tended not to do that, and only studied their "family name" line....It's much more rewarding to be inclusive. More countries of origin, more customs and traditions, and of course more general history. History does indeed come alive when studying genealogy.
