This is one reason the leaders of aggressive fundamental islam are so determined to undermine any inroads the west might make in the ME. Why they demand that all foreigners, "infidels" and westerners be driven out. If democracy is allowed to flourish, the average peace loving muslim would learn through the media, and others, that Judaism and Christianity teach tolerance......the meaning of thou shalt not kill, love thy neighbor ect... It seems that those teachings go against the fabric of Islam. A scapegoat is necessary if they are to retain power...... lies and intimidation are necessary to control the masses. I know this is a simplistic observation, but it's really an important truth.
